900 Ambient temperature display

I have this ambient temperature display sitting around. Actually it's part of an instrument cluster. But I don't have any of the rest of the pieces of the system.

Since I have a 92 and 93 940, I remember that the 93 is 'pre-wired' for the gauge.

To what extent is it pre-wired? Pre-wired with the sensor? Pre-wired just in the sense of having the wires come out somewhere under the hood?

There isn't a lot of information on this.

I'd kind of like to transplant it into the 93, with the "pre-wired" system. But if I have to buy a sender, I might as well buy the sender and wiring (if it's even available). Otherwise I'm going to have to cut it out of a 960, when I can get my hands on one to cut it out of.

Or other than that, it's going to sit on the shelf. Someone has to know what the story with this is. Anyone?
