Throttle body mystery hose 700

Hello, 86' 740
Upon checking for leaks between the AMM and the throttle body, I put my hand behind the throttle body housing and found the source of my leak. A large hose nipple on the back side of the TB with nothing attached to it. The TB was gulping unmetered air throught it. I plugged it and the car runs alot better, But what the heck is supposed to be hooked up there????????????? I haven't had the car for a real long time, but I have noticed that the Cruise is diconnected and the Heater has been abandoned and bypassed. I'm not sure if the core was leaking or the heater valve went, causing Engine failure and they said "screw the heater". Could that hose connection belong to one of these nearby things. I thought of the flame trap hose but that hooks up the the air inlet hose. The engine has 150,000 on it and it sure doesn't burn any oil. I wonder if it has been replaced?
thanks
