Trim panel water damage - minor 200

Finally I did it. Got the RR door to open on my 1986 244GL. The PO told me that a SlimJim user had messed up something and it had never opened in years.

AND, I I got it open with NO damage to the panel, the paint, or the glass. fixed the problem. Took several hours, much of that in "tool making" with a coat hanger. If you have the same problem, post - it's a long explanation.

BUT - the trim panel has some water damage weakness - mostly on one lower corner. Do you know anything I can do, spray on, reinforce, glue up, etc. that will help the panel stay strong?

Naturally I will be adding coverage to the water shield. BTW, the shield is a big sheet of celluloid, not that rot-away paper stuff I've seen on my earlier model 240s.

Thanks for reading and helping out.

Bob
