TriY Header ? 1800

Hi,

I have an 1970 1800e. Bought a KGTrimning Tri Y header for it . Is there any way to adapt the thinner header (1/2 inch) to the FI input manifold (3/4 inch) so they both seal to the head (both share common studs) . I do not want to mill down the FI manifold in case I want to go back to the stock exhaust manifold someday. I tried to fashion some sloted spacers out nuts to make up the ofset. I think I read a thread from Grorge Downs that use "half washers"?? This was for the opposite or FI exhaust manifold to thinner carb manifold.

I have the engine out now but am trying to figure what will work when I get to that point. Also does anyone have any reports of power or improvement with this Tri-Y or an opinion on the IPD or Stock FI manifold performance???

Greg
