Poor idle and stall after running 1 or 2 minutes 200

Been working on son's 89 240 which starts and runs fine for 1 or 2 minutes and then poor idle and stalls. Spark OK (exchanged coil with mine), new plugs, wires, rotor and cap. Checked for corroded fuel pump fuses and 25 A fuse under hood. Fuel pressure reg OK. No error codes. Wires look OK on coolant temp sensor. Pulled in-tank pump fuse and do not hear any difference in main fuel pump sound.

1. I cannot hear buz at tank filler nozzle; should I? Maybe its time to buy a fuel pressure gage.

2. Could it be idle control valve and if so how can I check it?

3. On this year are ECU terminals 13 and 5 for coolant temp inputs and would this be likely cause?

4. Removed trunk plate for in-tank fuel pump, but don't see how to remove the guts to check sock filter. How do I get to it?

5. Is it time to invest in a fuel pressure gage?

Thanks as usual. I am in new territory on this one.

Gary
