1988 240GL O2 voltage reading questions 200

In an attempt to get my duaghters 1988 240GL to pass emmissions I have done the following: replaced the air tube from the AMM to the throttle body (it had holes), removed and cleaned the throttle body, cleaned the flame trap and did the 'tune up' stuff. I am now in the process of checking the readings on the various sensors.

I did check the O2 sensor. At cold start, the voltage was around .84. Once warm (temp gauge was in the middle) the voltage was .70 - .73. Speeding up the engine rose the reading to .9 and, as the engine dropped to idle the reading dropped to 0, the back to the .70 range. The O2 sensor has the three wires coming off of it and I am using the single wire connecting to the green wire at the fire wall.

Is this approach heading in the right direction? Are the readings acceptable? I have not had the car tested since doing many of the maintenance items and maybe I should - it runs much smoother and the exhaust does not smell like raw gas.

For Bob's information - I am going to try to contact Hillerman to see if a Volvo Blessing Way will help! I continue to get frustrated but I know we will get there.
