clearing '93 SRS lamp 200

Hello BB.
Does someone here know how to clear the SRS codes on a '93 244? My friends SRS lamp has been lit since he taught his daughter to drive, manual trans and she stalled it. It has the nice little box in the engine compartment with an LED and a button. I used the 700faq procedure to read and clear it. The faq said to plug in to #5 socket, the only sockets with wires on his car were #3 and #6. Tried #3; 1-1-1 but would not clear as per 700faq procedure, I think this may be ABS? Tried #6, 1-1-1. When I tried to clear it I held button for 5 seconds - LED stayed on - held for 5 seconds - LED went out(just like 700faq). This did not clear SRS lamp. I would love to return it to him without the trouble light. I just rebuilt his brakes and it stops so smooooth and even, probably hasn't been that way since '96.

Opinion time: this car is the only manual trans Volvo I have driven and the transmission is pretty nice and easy to operate, seems to work very well with the engine and differential. Is this the norm? What about a 242 with a manual trans?
