slack in the differential 1800 1972

My 72 1800E has a little slack in the rearend it's not much but it's enough to bug me. It hasn't gotten any worse in the years that I have owned it and all of the seals are new. I was wondering if it is possible to adjust this slack out of the differential or if I would have to replace the crown and pinion gears. Also the yokes on my drive shaft are worn out of round and it causes me to have to replace my U-joints every 6 months. Can the yokes be repaired or do I have to replace the shaft?

Thanks
Thad
