failed emissions - what to check? 200 1983

Hi All,


just failed emissions with the wagon.... I passed on NOX, but failed on CO2 & HC's....car is running rich right now.

(in archives i found mostly hints for cars that had failed NOX, not too much on HC's and CO2).



don't have the #s with me (i'm at work, paperwork is at home).....wondering what to check.....

i have a new air filter to put in & I have new spark plugs to put in....plug wires are less than 10,000 miles old.... plan on getting an oil change before i try again....

anything else to check? (both numbers were waaayyy over the limit)
