76 262 rear end 200 1976

hello guys

Today while under the rear end of my 76 262, I found a little identification tag on the drivers side of the differential housing. It had the ratio, part number and "fabr" number. Well I now know the ratio but i still don't know for sure if its the 1031 rear. JTR (V8 conversion manual) says there should be ears on the side of the differential but as far as I can see, those "ears" aren't there.

I also heard that all 260 series volvos had the 1031 rear end. Is there some online site that I could look into to verify the identification tag numbers?

thanks a bunch

Adrian
