Clutch chatter problem 200

My stiff clutch four years ago was cured by a new cable. Then after an episode of trailering, it became stiff again, and engaged as soon as the pedal came off the floor. Indy Volvo specialist said clutch was shot. They installed new OE (Sachs) clutch kit (disk, PP, pilot and release brgs), resurfaced the flywheel, and I had a butter-smooth clutch with no break-in needed. This is what you should have. Get one of your repair shop's owners to drive the car and ask him if that clutch behavior is what he would put forward as an example of their workmanship. Do this if the 400mi "break-in" does not completely cure your problem.
