How to replace rubber brake lines on old 240s 200

Hi, all. I'm about to tackle a front brake overhaul. I've replaced rotors (by unbolting and temporarily lifting off calipers) and pads, etc., but now for the first time (for me), I'm going to replace not only the rotors (with Ate's PowerDiscs) and calipers (rebuilt units), but also the short rubber hoses to the calipers (with new braided s.s. type hoses, also from IPD). My questions are these -- after so many years and miles (it's a 1984, with 175K miles), I'm concerned about how much trouble it will be to remove those hoses. I've been spraying, daily, the ends with various fluids that are supposed to loosen rusted, stuck bolts in long-term preparation for the job; and I've got a set of 14mm wrenches ("flare nut", I think they're called, that have a narrow opening and wrap farther around the nut than ordinary crescent wrenches). So...
Can anyone offer any tips or techniques should the hoses' end nuts be stubborn? And is 14 mm the right size? Is it all right, if the fluids don't work, to use a propane torch on the hoses' nuts to loosen them?
I'm soliciting any and all advice to make this job go as smooth as possible. Thanks all, in advance.
