A cat-back exhaust using larger diameter pipe (like 2 1/2 inch), no front muffler, and a "turbo" rear muffler only, will probably develop 5 more horsepower and a better torque curve.
IF the car is a 1988 or older, and you promise to run premium gas, you can probably advance the distributor about 6 degrees for more power- perhaps more.
Beyond that... you need a cam, adjustable cam gear, or more significant head work.

Quality performance tires on 15" wheels will make it handle better and look better too.
