Fuel Pump Question 700

Hey all quick question

1989 740 GL B230F

After doing a whole lotta work on the toy, i was wondering around trying to figure out what i should be replacing next,

so sitting in the drivers seat revving the engine, and of course makeing the growling noise i let it all cool down leaned over to pick something up off the ground and to my amazement for the first time i could actually hear my fuel pump,

now it has gotten alittle louder not to bad, but does this sound like the fuel pumps about to take a crap, or a possible dead intank pump?
