failed emissions, but not on same things as last time (??!) 200 1983

Hi all,

so I failed emissions for a 2nd time, but this time I failed on NOx. Last time I passed on Nox but failed on co2/hc's.... this time i passed co2/hc's but failed nox.

between the 1st time & the 2nd time, I changed the air filter and the spark plugs.... i believe that the air filter caused my co2/hcs to go down (hooray!!)......could the new plugs have caused the NOX to go up? the new plugs are volvo, and they ARE causing the engine to run slightly warmer at operating temp than the last plugs were....

i'm thinking I may replace the volvo plugs with the other brand I was using (NGK), since the engine was running slightly cooler with those...... is that a good idea, or is there something else i should try?
