940T EGR Valve temp sensor 900

Recently purchased in New Jersy a 940T with a dead engine that was killed by a slow coolant leak. Put in a "new" block and turbo I got from a salvage yard. Used all the old intake manifold and FI hardware, so I was able to do the swap without taking appart the mass of wiring and hoses on the intake side. Engine started right up with no leak, pings, knocks, or other unaccounted for noises. Let the engine idle for 45 min. to check for leaks and let the oil flush out the engine block. Put in fresh oil and coolant and took it for a short drive. Car ran perfect. No trouble shoot needed! When I took it onto the main road and put my foot into it to see if I am getting boost, I noticed the dreaded "Check Engine" light came on. Could not find anything obvious wrong, and the engine was running fine. So the next day, I drove the car 400 miles home to Rochester, NY without problem. Still have the "Check Engine" light on.

I have since retrieved the code 4.1.3 from the computer. This code says the EGR temperature signal is absent. The temp probe in the EGR is plugged in. Since I do not have my Volvo green books for this engine yet, I am trying to resolve this problem quickly so that I can get the car inspected.

So my question is, how do I determine if the EGR temp probe is working? Is there a resistance level I should expect to see? Anyone have an idea what that level is? Anyone else get a 4.1.3 code and have any other ideas as to what the problem may be?

Any help is greatly appreciated.
