Aftermarket taillights versus Volvo OEM 200

After looking into replacing the taillights(chrome type) for my 85 244 DL, I concluded that since the boneyard wanted $85 a piece and the best price I found for Volvo OEM lights was $140 a piece, that the aftermarket brand (Taiwan?) from Groton at $98 would be the best deal. I've heard that the aftermarket type leak but I know my original Volvo lights leak also. Does anyone know if the OEM lights are that much better than the aftermarket and are worth the extra $40? I tried looking on ebay but there are not many out there and I'd like to get the old ones replaced soon.
