Noisy engine 700 1988

Hey everyone, I do have a 740 B230F but this question is not relating to this car, it is about my other little car 1.6l 4cyl Carb, would anyone have any ideas as to why its making a lot of noise like there is something loose in the head, oil is dirty and will need changing but luckily it doesn't blow any smoke and it always starts first time every cold morning and idles reasonably well, could it be that the oil pressure is too low? apart from that I have no idea so could anyone suggest something to me? Thanks heaps
