Vibration at 3000rpm on '90 740GL 700 1990

I just bought a '90 740GL with 164,000 on the clock. I have a lot of noise and noticable vibration when I am running at 3000 or 4000 rpm. It runs pretty quiet at 2500 and a little louder at 3500. My first thought is to check the motor mounts and then the exhausts hangers. I remember something similar on my '74 144GL but is has been ten years since I sold that brick, and the memory is fading. Happy to be back in some swedish iron (still have my vanity plates "MYSWEDE".)

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Dave Jones
