Short in High Beam Circuit, RT side, A/C system is Screwed 700

if I turn on the high beams on my 85 760, the rt side high beam fuse instantly blows on it. it does this with the high beam lamp connected. Is this likely a problem with the switch, or in the wiring? I dread having to trace it into the harness- any BTDT???

My A/C system is screwed- it switches between heat and A/c randomly when on A/C, and I have heat pretty much all the time. I have the climate control system on it, and the sensors in the heater box check out. Any hints on this? I am thinking of switching to the full manual heater controls- easy swap?
