REALLY long drives 140-160 1970

Hi,

Go for it! Car is very reliable if you have looked after the details, and the list of spare parts to carry is short. You might want to carry a couple of carbs, or at least a set of float-bowl valves and gaskets. The GM alt is a good idea for availability on the road. A spare distributor etc in case your electronic ignition dies. Hoses, belts and such are not too hard to find but easy to carry along. Water pump as you said. Fuel pump or overhaul kit (kgtrimning has them). Very little can not be fixed quickly on the side of the road, including carb overhauls!

Give a call if you are up to Calgary. Would be neat to see your car.
