960 Coolant Leak 900 1997

After changing out the thermostat on my 1997 960, I noticed a little jet of water spraying out of the place where the thermostat housing meets the head. No problem, just yank out a couple screws, put some RTV sealant over the gasket and be done with it. NOPE! The screw on the bottom of the connecting housing is behind some bracket that holds all the accessories on. So far the alternator and power steering pump have been removed, and I'm still unable to get to the screw. Has anyone else had this problem and found an easier way to get to the screw?? I'd greatly appreciate it if you'd share...

-Greg
