Overdrive issues: Update

Last week I found that my overdrive didnt want to disengage after being
on the highway for quite sometime. Tested it later that night and it was fine engaging and disengaging OD. Although I was not in OD for very long.

Today I was headed to a friends but made a few stops before.
OD was fine engaging and disengaging when it was in OD for about 5 miles.

Although the next time, I engaged OD and cruised for about 5-7 miles,
went to disengage OD, and it wouldnt... OD light went off, but the RPMs didnt rise indicating a shift down. After making the turn, it seemed overdrive was still engaged as acceleration was not like it usually is. and I was cruising @ OD RPM @ 60mph and I had not re engaged over drive.

Coming back home I didnt engage the OD until closer to home and very briefly, it seemed fine into and out of each time.

It seems interesting that leaving it in overdrive longer would cause it not to want to disengage. This sound like more of a hydraulic or electrical problem?

I was wondering if it was electrical as friend and I removed and reinstalled the engine and tranny 2 weeks ago, and since then I have had this problem, OD was awesome before. possibly our routing of the wires is causing some grounding somewhere to keep the OD engaged?

thanks again!
take care

Luke
