Wacky lights!! 700

My battery was loose in the bay (needs to be fixed for inspection) and I undid the connections and got it out fix. After I put it in, the driver side lights are funny. The high and low beam are weaker and the indicator and parking light do not work at all. I have replaced the bulbs but that made no difference. What happened here? It happened once before when I replaced the battery but then it was even weirder with the parking light flashing instead of the indicator. I then replaced the three bulbs and it worked but only after I started the engine and then it was fine, no problems at all. This time, replacing the bulbs and starting the engine sorted out the funny parking light flashing but the headlight is still weak and indicator and parking light are just dead. Prior to this, I had no problems and all was fine, the bulb out relay is brand new and the headlight relay has never given me any trouble unless this is related. I have undone the negative terminal often enough on the battery without problems but on the two occasions I have undone the positive termninal this happens, I do not know if this is related but I wonder. Any ideas anyone?
