Short in AC & power windows 200

My daughter is the new owner of a lovely but slightly abused '86 240. She recently installed a new radio/CD player and about 1 week later the #10 fuse starting blowing every time we tried to turn on the AC. (#10 fuse controls the AC and power windows in this car). I am "fix-it mom" in our house, with a fair amount of mechanical ability but little experience fixing electrical problems. What is the most likely problem? (loose wiring, screw through wire/harness, ground problem--or could it possibly have to do with the AC relay???) What should I do first? dismantle the dash and start looking around? Thanks for "educating" me!
