HVAC vacuum leaks behind center console-- where to look first? 200 1992

Hello All:

I have been spending a bit of time replacing the many burnt out dash/console bulbs in my "new" '92 245. While working around the console, I noticed that I can feel air blowing and hear hissing when the controls for the vents are changed. Can anyone point me to the likely location of the leak and offer any repair tips?
