How to fix scratched/peeling blackout trim around windows? 200 1992

Hello All:

My '92 245 has the blackout trim around the windows-- it appears to be the old fashioned polished aluminum trim painted flat black. The paint is scratched and or peeling in many places, and it looks lousy. Does anyone have a good suggestion for repairing this?
