Swapping a 740Turbo into a 78 264GL ??? All opinions Welcomed

Hi all,
Im Just Floating around with ideas for my beutiful 264 it still runs perfect and hopefully will continue for a few more years.
I am Starting to think a head to the future of the old girl engine wise. Many 264 owners are going to V8 im considering a builting a highpowered (but still reliable) turbo engine from a 740 to drop in.
I feel this would be a hell of a lot easier then making a V8 fit but i have not heard anyone of else puting Turbo engine in the OLD V6s.
Would much fabrication be needed ??
Finding a 740 Turbo Donor car is easy as one can be picked up for around $700Aus

Any opinion Are greatly Appreciated
