air box modification 700 1986

If you look in the area in front of the air box further down, there is like a 3 inch hole there that should get heaps of cool air, sometimes it's got some tape over it though making it hard to see.
You can run some 3 inch flex pipe etc up and drill a new hole into the front of the air box if you know what your doing.

It's been done before, and I think there are a few pics around from people who have done it, I just can't remember where.
