air box modification 700 1986

When I was removing the pre-heat hose from the B23F in my '84 GL, I mated it together with another of those tubes I had sitting around.

Wrapped the thind under the fan shroud, squeezed it alongside the right end of the radiator and hid the end behind the grill.

Occasionally I will hear a "moosing" soound when I tromp the gas.

Runs noticably poorly when the engine is still cold.

Can't say is has improved anything, performance-wise.

Ususlly I remove these pre-heat hoses and use a 2.5" rubber plumbing cap with a band clamp to close off the inlet to the airbox where this hose comes in. My purpose is to fake out a dead airbox t-stat which doesn't let you know -- when it's dead -- that it is letting killer hot air into the AMM.
