no fuel, no spark, whats wrong 700

I am buying this 85 740 ti and I want to know what could be causing this problem. the car has been sitting for 2 years. what the guy says is it just died one day while going down the road, not electrical related we think, maybe intank fuel pump because the primary fuel pump was replaced. When they put the car to "pasture" there was spark but no more what6 could that be?
