&^ 240 Wagon Questions 200 1976

I'm going to look at what could be an exceptional 1976 240 wagon. It has been owned by the same guy for 25 years. He bought it when it had 11K and now it has 264K. He says he followed Volvo's recommended maintenance schedule the whole time, and I think he can prove it.

What should I be watching for with this model?

It's carbureted, correct?

Which engine would a 76 have?

How does the engine compare to the B21F and B230F that I'm familiar with?

If he actually did follow Volvo's suggested maintenance schedule religiously, could this thing have much life left in it?

Any information would be helpful.
