ditto with ART, the codes are stored until the OBD is reset or the battery cable is removed. 89's have a ECU that is known to be erratic on occasion. (I used to have one, they can make you want to pull your hair out at times with the false codes) If you can't find anything, clear the codes and see if it happens again.
