NEWBIE dumb ass question...what is better... 240 or 740..

Hi all

I am new to this forum and am looking to purchase a Volvo very soon. I am quite tired of the generic front wheel drive Hondota Camcordivic cars I have owned and I want to get back into a RWD vehical. I am also apprehensive to purchase a wanna-be-yuppie BMW 325. Oh yeah, the thought of a 5.0 powered 240 or 740 is a nice little bonus (I had a 5.0 long ago). My question is, what are the ups and downs of both the 240 and 740 (or any relatives). What do the members of the Brickboard reccommend?
