Who told you that one? Factory is 12 degrees BTDC on the Turbo's. Although I keep mine at 12 degrees BTDC others have advanced theirs 2 or 3 degrees above that with no problems. All you need is a timing light and a wrench to loosen the bolt on the back of the distibutor.
