Unpleasant surprise 444-544

While cleaning up all the road grit and mud from this past winter after replacing my brakes I made an unpleasant discovery. See photos below. I am just thankful that I found it this way, rather than in the middle of a high speed curve enjoying the sway bars.
Those of you with older 544's & 444's might want to check your A arms this spring. My 220 and 1800 have solid arms, so this is just a hazard of the older technology I guess.
