What should I do with a beautiful 960? 700

Good point, but the cost of a conversion is really no different than aquiring and installing a good used six cylinder, if the local wrecking yards here are any indication. They sell evey late 960 they get, to those who own early cars. Average used price is $4500.00 Canadian - just for the engine. I have seen two engines with the crack you describe. Mustang engines are plentiful and cheap by comparison, and they fit well.
The 5.0 was a great motor in my 82 GLT - and the 960 would be even better.
