overheating issues 700

On a 3 hour trip today one of my coolant hoses ruptured and I had a great loss of coolant. I got the car pulled over and shut down. The temp needle was to the right of center but not in the red zone yet. Had the car towed and my mechanic temporarily fixed the leak until the new Volvo hose gets in tomorrow. When I restarted the car after getting the hose fixed and filling up on coolant my service light came on. I reset the service light and it has remained off since. The car seems to run fine... but is there anything I should check for?
