Straightening connecting rods.

The green Volvo manual recommends checking the straightness (twist) of the connecting rods when rebuilding a B23. The Triumph GT6 competition manual also recommends checking for twist but advises that attempting to straighten connecting rods will be more detrimental than a slightly twisted rod and to replace very twisted ones.

So, what should I do with my B23 rods? I will have them checked, but should they be straightened, or should I take the best four out of a pile of B23 rods?
