antenna in windshield *update 140-160 1974

Earlier I posted a message about an antenna in the windshield in my 164e that I wanted to reconnect after a previous owner installed a standard antenna. Here is a link to that thread http://www.brickboard.com/RWD/index.htm?id=608121
I finally found the wire from the windshield. I had to take the speaker grill off and remove the speaker. I found a small connector, it is too small to plug into the radio and it has a short wire so it would not make it to the stereo. There is a bracket were it looks like this small connector was adapted to the larger size that will fit the radio. I don't know if I will be able to find an adapter for this small connector. Here are some pictures of it.

This is to show you the size of it:

This is the wire sitting in the silver bracket where it should be adapted

Any thoughts? I am going to look at the parts store for an adapter though I have never seen one this small before. I'll keep you updated.
