Can I switch the location of the Oxygen Sensor from the Cat. to the Head Pipe... 200 1990

Bricksters,
I would like to replace and upgrade the exhust system on my 1990 240dl b230f. My thoughts, centered on longevity and not price, are inclined toward a switch to the TME stainless system (part number cu3c0243) offered by IPD. So my questions are: 1)will the 81-85 exhaust system fit on my ride, 2)I am going to replace the oxygen sensor and catalytic converter as well so is it prudent, possible, or beneficial to relocate the oxygen sensor to the head pipe, and 3) should I just buy a stainless muffler, a converter for a 1990 from FCP with the sensor in the cat. body (like it is now), and have my very awesome local pipe bender construct the rest. Long winded but any thoughts, or shared wisdom, on the turbo exhuast system conversion would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Jon
