More rear end/differential questions 120-130

Well, I got the rear end out of my wagon after finally deciding it weren't fixable... as it turns out, one of the axle housings had been welded together but it was too short. Coulda maybe machined the axle shaft on that side to accomodate, but... the wagon axles with their bearing setup still wouldn't go in, and the axles were trashed anyhow, so I decided its time to just replace the durned thing...

So, now the options... I'd really like to have limited slip or a locker back there. But, my book tells me that Salisbury was the manufacturer of the rear ends on the estate cars. Does anyone know if that applies to ALL 122 wagons? Or is there a cutoff date when they switched to a Dana/spicer 27 or 30 as in the sedans? There are options out there for those rears...

I could have my suspension mounts welded to a 122 sedan rear end (which is what should have been done in the first place)and I do have one, but... last I checked, the tapered outer rear bearing is no longer available...and I really don't want to mess with that. Or, perhaps I could have the mounts welded to a 140 or 240 axle....one of which I have, and I think would be a dana 30..? That would also give me disc brakes, but...I'd have to find some 1800e front rotors... and...I don't know how the rear discs would work with the current single circuit system.

Anyone have any thoughts? I suppose easiest would just be to stick with original, and can the whole idea of a limited slip for this car...use my 145 for off-roading.

Or ideally, find a wagon rear end with the dana/spicer unit inside...if such a thing exists.
