hall effect sensor 700

how do I test a hall effects sensor that is out of a car. or in a car at a junkyard? Is there a resistance between two leads or something else? how do you remove the rotor with out breakeing it? is there a screw on the side of the rotor or something? how hard is it to reomve a distrubeter?
