I did the same thing. Wooden hoist - slightly modified lifting system. I just jacked up the turbo side of the car and didn't bother with the ramps. Worked very well for me. A word of caution on ramps - backing off mine the other day, my driver side fog light lens smashed. I will be a lot more careful next time.
