has anyone installed cruise control on a non-cruise car? 700 1988

Hey, I;ve got an 88 740 GLE (manual) that I would like to install cruise control on... The car DID NOT originally come with cruise.

Has anyone else out there done this?

I have all of the factory manuals,

What kind of stuff should I be looking out for?
