Strange Noise 900 1995

Our 1995 940 Turbo just passed 80,000 miles this weekend. It also started making a strange noise. It sounds like a clicking, almost as if a piece of paper were stuk in a fan. It is most pronounced when the car is first started up and fades considerably after about 1 mile. The clicking goes faster as you step harder on the gas, and goes away totally if you don't step on the gas. Pumping the gas while in nuetral doesn't seem to cause the noise, which leads me to think it is not one of the belts. Also the fan setting in the car has no relation to the noise.

Though it may have nothing to do with it, the throttle body has never been cleaned, nor has the flame trap (or the parts of it that are in a turbo) so I was thinking about having them done.

Any thoughts on what could be making the noise?
