Hello,

Sounds like the connector is loose in the back of the instrument panel. Pull down the lower dash cover and see if you can slip your hand up behind there and give the connector a good shove. Most of them by now have lost the little retainer clip that holds them in solid. Mine's been busted off for a couple of years now, and I push the connector back in every few months just as a regular maintenance thing.
