magnet valve in idle circuit bad 200

I think the magnet valve that that closes the idle circuit when ignition is off and open it when it's on is gone. Engine suddenly starts to run exremely slow and sometimes stop at idle. I replaced it with one from a breakers yard and engine idled good for some days, now it idles good and the suddenly stops/rund at like 2-300 rpm's. Where does the wire that goes to the magnet valve comes from, is it just at 12v source or is it something else. I'm thinking of jsut taking current to it from elsewere as there seem to be a bad connection somwhere. Also the light bulb in the dash that reminds you to swith on the light lives a life on its one, the choke light as also stopped working but that seems permanent. Any help would be great getting sick of bad idle. When the magnet valve is getting current/working engine idles good.
