Parking brake cable.... 140-160

It probably ain't the same... in '73, they moved the hand brake lever from the left side of the seat to the middle of the car. If there are different part numbers between the later cars ('73 and '74)and the early cars ('67-72), then it probably ain't the same.

One good way to check is to call your friendly Volvo dealer. They'll tell you that the part you are after is no longer available.... then you ask 'em for the part number so you can do your own research. If you have the Volvo part number, you have a much better chance of finding what you need.

I would think that a hand brake cable should be the same at least from '67-72 on the 140 series. And a later one could probably be made to work, but I can't say for sure. Also keep an eye on ebay for that sort of stuff...
