Diagnos cold start problem

Saturday morning I started my 90 240. When I put into reverse to back out of the garage it started running really funny. The engine would race, and then it acted like it was going to die. It sputtered and carried on awfully.

After the car warmed up it ran fine.

I was thinking cold start problem. However, this has not occured again since saturday. The car is starting and running fine, every morning.

I dont know what to make of this?

I tried to see if any codes are stored, but the little flashy thingy doesnt seem to work. I put the pin in hole number 6, turn on the ignition, hold the button down for between 1 and 3 secs, and nothing happens. Absolutely nothing.

Anyone have a clue here?
